1. Our data protection policy

The Münchner Gewerbehof- und Technologiezentrumsgesellschaft mbH (MTZ), Agnes-Pockels-Bogen 1, 80992 München is responsible for the domain: www.mtz.de.

The protection of personal data is of great importance to our company. That is why we carry out our activities in accordance with the laws concerning the protection of personal data and data security. It is therefore important to us that you are aware at all times of when we record what data, and how we use it. In the following, we explain what data we record via our website, how we process it and use it and, where relevant, who it is passed on to.

2. Collection, processing and use of personal data

2.1 Your visit to our website (www.mtz.de) is recorded in a log. The main details recorded are the IP address currently used by your PC, the date and time, the browser type and the operating system of your PC, as well as the pages viewed by you. It is generally not possible for us to link this to a person, nor do we intend to do so. This data is only collected for the purposes of data security and for the optimisation of our website.

2.2 Personal data will only be collected via our website if you have provided us with such data voluntarily. This applies:

a)    if you submit a "reservation enquiry for a seminar room". In this case, the following data will be collected:

  • Mandatory details: description/name of the seminar room, date, booking period, particulars: tenant or external, company, first name and surname, telephone number and email address.
  • Optional: comment. The same data will be collected if you choose to reserve a seminar room via "booking enquiry via email".

b)    via the "contact form". In this case, the following data will be collected:

  • Mandatory details: title, first name and surname, email address, telephone number, message.
  • Optional: address, Subject.

In all other cases, we will only collect your data if you have previously given us permission to do so or where such collection is permitted under the relevant data protection legislation.

It is possible that data such as the IP address or information about the time and duration of use are generated automatically due to the technical equipment used and are therefore absolutely imperative for communication. Data which is no longer required for the transmission of a message is erased or made anonymous by us.

3. Intended purpose

All personal data which falls under the terms of our online service is processed and used in accordance with the currently valid regulations regarding the protection of personal data, and only for the purpose of communication or for our own justified business interests in respect of the consultancy and supervision of our customers and the creation of products.

It may be necessary to contract third parties to process your data in order to maintain customer relations, to deal with your enquiry, or for technical reasons. If this is the case, the applicable data protection regulations will be adhered to.

We will only use your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing or market research if you have expressly given us your permission to do so.

Your personal data will not be sold or otherwise marketed in any way by us to any third party.

4. Specific use

MTZ will only collect, process and use the personal data you provide online for the specified purpose of which you were informed. The only exceptions will be if collection, processing and use of the data is required for another purpose directly connected with the original purpose for which the personal data was collected; is required in order to prepare, negotiate and fulfil a contract with you; is necessary due to a legal obligation or an official or court order; is necessary as a basis for or to protect legal rights or to defend actions; or is required in order to prevent improper use or other unlawful activities that endanger the integrity of MTZ systems and thus compromise data security.

5. Use of cookies

We take the liberty of using cookies in order to facilitate the presentation of our websites by optimising our website and marketing measures. In this way, MTZ automatically follows how the provided content is used. This enables us to recognise quickly which areas can be improved so that we can continually enhance the relevance and accessibility of the content provided by us.

Nevertheless, you have the option of preventing cookies from being saved by setting your internet browser so that all cookies are deleted from your hard drive, cookies are barred from your computer, or you are warned each time a cookie is about to be saved. If you decide to block cookies, you will have access to the same MTZ content as when cookies are activated. Deactivation merely leads to slightly less accurate usage figures for our internal reports. This usage information is only used internally by MTZ and our relevant partners for the purpose of improving the quality of the content, the services and the support for our visitors.

By taking technical and organisational precautions, MTZ ensures that your personal data is protected against unintentional or unlawful deletion or alteration and against its loss, unlawful transmission or accessibility to unauthorised parties.
